I use ATF+4 in my newer 05' Cummins truck, but have always used "F" in my early 727's. Can anyone advise if using "F" in my truck would be ok? My understanding is that the transmissions are similar to each other, except for the electronic valve body.

If my 2006 Dodge diesel instructions say ATF+4 it’s getting it. With all the gizmos in these suckers I will pay the added penalty for it. My buddy rebuilds them and I wound get a really fair price but fair is still high on these. The converters really went up in price.
