Yes sir you are one smart dude ! That reminds me of a friend of mine ,used one piece granite for each wall when he cut out the hole for the taps and shower , he measured from the front instead of the back , he cut the holes out put up the granite the holes were off. Man was his wife pissed.

Funny ya mention that. On the second guest bathroom they did not measure faucets correctly then did not double check and proceeded to drill the holes incorrectly. So that piece goes back as well to be replaced. My next call is to the office so that I can request a different crew for the kitchen pieces. They are special ordered from Brazil and no chance to simply replace them. Arghh. Not my best day.
