If the ridge is not too bad, and if you were trying to save money on machine work. You could buy a ridge reamer. Which is a tool that sets up in the top of the bore and only cuts out the ridge. Then you can remove the Pistons safely, hone the cylinder bores and reused the pistons with new rings. Just a thought

Hoping I can get by with minimal machine work. I think next I'll pull a set of the caps to see how things are underneath.

Feeling I needed to order a complete gasket set was probably a sign. Be nice to only do the rings... those piston sets are pricey
