Stop in for a cup of coffee

I was all set after we moved in to go up and paint the wood trim around the chimney. I've done a lot of repelling back in the day and came in with a 40 ft piece of nylon rope and announced I was heading up top to paint. I'd tied a repel harness and explained I'd tie off on the chimney and it wouldn't be a problem. The pitch on that side if the house is 12/17...steep. I was informed in no uncertain terms that I wasn't doing anything that stupid with her there. I hired it out to a chimney guy which was good because he found weather damage I couldn't see.
Yep I cleaned some sky lights that way. Parked truck on opposite side. Tied off to the trailer hitch, tossed rope over peak and then tied off with it so I could clean hands free. Jodi came home found truck snuggled up next to shop with rope going up and out of sight, she was thinking WTF? I was on back side dangling like a monkey blissfully cleaning the sky lights. Those that have met her can imagine the adjectives and compliments about my lineage and heritage that came out of her mouth. I have not tried that particular stunt for awhile now!
