Neat video about bolts and nuts

Great video. I'll be honest, I scanned it cause I used to train people on this among many topics but I never had a video.
You might find this interesting... To obtain the proper preload on nuclear reactor head studs, we had hydraulic devices which we would thread onto the end of the studs (several inches in diameter) and the nuts would have been hand spun on prior to this of course. The devices had a piston in them and would push against the reactor head while pulling on the stud. The correct stretch or preload was determined by PSI. Once the studs are stretched, you can turn the nuts down to the head and release the pressure and thats all there is to it! Oh, we had multiple units so we could tension multiple studs at a time.
