My girlfriends dad has geard of Buffalo Arms. Recognizes the name but isn't sure what happened to them.
They made air-cooled aircraft guns, mostly, or at least initially for the Brit.
Later they and Marlin were contracted for carbine barrels. Their barrels had a high rejection rate and now have a undeserved lower desirability because of this. Undeserved because rejected barrels were not used - they got reworked.

Also they got an E Award, I beleive for the Cheektowaga plant. Again suggesting a pretty good manufacturing operation.
