340 vs 383

Well it looks like this thread revival has gone full circle.

I have a 340 and wanted to go to a 408. We pulled the 340, installed the 408 and had major problems with it (this was about 10 years ago). It was a Blueprint Engine before Johnny Mac was there. Broke it in and it ran like crap, my 340 went back in. Luckily I got a full refund after Blueprint inspected it and found that they had screwed up. However I lost shop labour and associated costs for that fiasco! Nice to see that Johnny Mac fixed the quality and other problems there though.

Anyways my choice.. small block stroker for me that I almost had.
