Ford 272 C.I. runs low 11's. Why do Mopar guys need 408's?

That’s for sure. On a street strip ride you can skip a bunch of things that a race car would normally employ like a real good and well scienced out camshaft, head work, exhaust & headers, chassis and suspension set up.

Also other nice things like the cars interior and stereo.
