This is what you should use on almost everything... it will never leak.. on my 8 3/4 i do a coating of this on the housing, and on the pig and use a paper gasket
P.S. it sucks to clean up later if you remove parts but you will never have a leak.. i use it on almost every gasket on a motor/car
Also.. the smell is addictive... you can pick the stuff up and any autoparts.. been using it since i was like 15 and never had any car leak on me View attachment 1716108984
Not for everything, but it is good stuff. Usually to stick a gasket to one side and nothing on the other this is what I use.Not for all surfaces where I'm going to need a jackhammer to separate it later. Full seal I would more likely go RTV
