Why do I keep breaking rocker arms?

OK, @Slugfarm , I grabbed a pic & turned it.
Excuse My poor fingertip scribble, what are the lines/marks at the red arrows, & is the adjuster ball offset as it appears or optical photo illusion(possible)???
