I had a guy I served with in the National Guard. He was SF in Vietnam did his tour and then volunteered to stay an additional six months and train the monyards (SP) He had some great stories. My neighbor served in a Infantry unit in VN. He was a farm boy and when he got there told his Platoon Leader, he'd rather carry an M-60 instead of an M-16. He did for his entire tour. He kept a diary which turned into a publication. Of course, as some of you know my Dad was a helicopter polit in 69...RIP.
