Stop in for a cup of coffee

So my daughter had her final completion for the year of her first 4H adventure.

We took 3 goats to the fair for her to show. We weren’t expecting wins or to even be competitive. We’ve been out of goats for nearly two decades and a lot sure has changed. Going into today, I figured she MIGHT have a slight chance at winning two breed championships (there’s 12 I think total).

Well, she not only took home both of those two breed champions but also Reserve Grand Champion Goat overall as well as Reserve Grand Champion Showmanship(a judgement of show skills not the animal). She also brought home a third Reserve Grand champion in the costume competition where the goat and the exhibitor wear costumes.

this brings her first year totals to:

4- Reserve Grand Champions
7- Champions
5 Reserve Champions
6- Blue ribbons with Merit awards.

That’s a pretty dang good haul.
My son also got to take place in the mini4H class since he’s not old enough for 4H and brought home a 1st place in showmanship skills for his age division.

I know it seems like I’m bragging but after what happened exactly a month ago to the date, honestly the worst day in my life and for my sons life, I am so proud and thrilled with how they both did this past week.
