I am not a restoration person myself.. i just want solid mechanicals and fun to beat the piss out of.. I never understood going to car shows when you can go the dragstrip :)
Agree. I find car shows are interesting when I'm looking for original unrestored or really well done restorations for information. I like seeing how the really early cars are set up and operated ( 1920s and earlier) Even more interesting if I'm going or meeting friends at a show.

Drag strip I have a love hate relationship with. My experiences at Atco and Englishtown were a lot of waiting and little running. Island and Maple Grove both had nice amount of runs for the times spent there. Also had people I knew to meet up with so that was always a plus.

Autocross was often a full day, but at least 4 runs (except Divisionals). Between work and the axle damage l didn't even renew my membership this Spring. Everything has gone FB and I'm not on FB - so much for the social aspect.
