Calvert Springs; not happy

People don't believe me when I tell them u bolt torque. The leaves need to be able to slide. Overtightening kills the arch and the "spring" in the spring.
Absolutely. The argument I always get is "how can the leaves slide when there is a centering pin"? Simple. The pin simply cuts the springs effectively into a front half and a rear half. The sliding action is at either end, so the center pin has nothing to do with it.
