Unpopular opinion. I'm so frustrated I hate car shows/cruises.
All I can say is try another show or cruise. I'd say there are others like you that feel the same way. There has never been a time when it was easier to organize a cruise, so do it yourself. Advertise a cruise, state your intentions and what you hope to see happen at the event.
I am super fortunate that the postCovid car culture in my area has exploded and there's lots to do. People around here are very welcoming of me in my Duster and my son in his truck. Don’t give up! Your people are out there somewhere!
