Guns, Dogs and Blades QnA

Went to a party for car guys from the 1970’s yesterday and I asked a buddy if he was still shooting. He recently started pistol shooting and joined a league. We are going to try to hook up one of these days and go shooting. Another skeet shooting friend joined the conversation to belongs to the same sportsman club as I do. He informed the other friend that shoots for the Tarentum club will see his dues go from 80.00 to 180.00. A guy from Texas now pittsburgh bought the club years ago and totally rebuilt everything. Outdoor range, indoor range, clubhouse, everything. Guys past being a millionaire. Kinda sounds like they will be weeding out some members rather quickly. We pay 30.00 a year at our club. 600 members I hear
Thirty dollars a year for gun club dues is unheard of. That is a great rate. Usually when dues are super low the membership has to commit to “work bonds” Most clubs in this area are in the 200-300 dollar range. Skeet is a hoot! There is no end to the heckling between shooters! Side bars are hilarious. I think we had right at 1100 guys in our league? And I think 8 divisions. It lets teams be competitive and shoot against folks with same skill set. Beware of the guy that shoots 410 on skeet field!
