Just a FYI......
Unassembled Eddy heads come with unfinished guides.
Also, even the assembled heads will usually have guides that will end up being tighter than I prefer when using non-Eddy valves.
The Eddy valve stem diameter is usually a nominal .3405”, which is .0005” smaller than a typical Ferrea or REV valve, which are typically .3410.
The normal fare for assembled Eddy heads ootb is the guides come with barely .0010” clearance on the intakes, and .0015” on the exhaust.
They’re often not super straight either, which exasperates the tight feel when non-Eddy valves are used.
I always end up honing the guides in Eddy heads.
Guides a little on the small side are easier to make right than guides on the loose side.
