I could never do that good of a job with fiberglass.
What a could do is make a thin sheet metal ring as a backing reinforcement to sandwich it if you think it's a good idea?
I will on the lower tab to hold the light in to reinforce it and a washer on the top. Fiberglass I used is the same they use on the blades on windmill towers, good ****.
