When we were doing the remodel on SLC6 at Vandenberg AFB for the Shuttle, we had to cross a good share of South VAFB to get there. The base was mostly Calif coast wilderness with some holes poked in the ground and these funny steel towers here and there. We had 2 gates we could enter with and 1 of them was closed before 06:00, if we had to be onsite earlier we had to use a different gate and route that was even more wild than the other. Carpenter that ran our saw yard making concrete forms and such drove a Jag XJ6. That alternate route had lots of wildlife on it and a particularly large Blacktail buck used that road frequently. The sawman found the buck early one morning. That Jag looked like a Miller Light can you stepped on for recycling after their interaction :rofl:
