Well it started out at 10C this morning and is gradually getting colder and down to -3 tonight.
Took my wife out to lunch and then went to the new Costco here in town.
Yeah it's nice and new and all that but I prefer the older store we go to.
There used to be a horse farm many years ago in North Oshawa called Windfield Farms.
A famous Canadian horse called Northern Dancer was born there and is buried on the land where he was born.
The farm was on both sides of the main road and went for several concessions.
Today it's all housing developments and stores and huge apt buildings.
For someone to come back into town it would be a major shock.
In the spring we'd drive past the farm and see the new fouls running and jumping around.
It was a beautiful sight but now it's all brick and concrete.
