Stop in for a cup of coffee

Ok why? 6061 t6 is best for a tree stand.
Cause it weighs half a ton… i decided to modify the traditional ones we typically build to support two people so I can start taking the kids hunting with me more. And I wanted it enclosed for safety (and comfortable from the elements). So it’s 4x4x 6.5ft . Built out platform is built out of 2x8 treated. The risers are 2x12x14s. Plan was to build it modular and assemble on site but once the platform is attached to the risers, I can’t lift it up right. Too heavy. Even with the pulley system I devised to help. So for now, it becomes a ground blind for this season and afterwards, I’ll work the skid steer into the woods to raise it for next year.

Attached is the old one. No pics of the new yet. But picture this one with a box on top and you’ll get the idea
