And so it begins. 69 Dart GT resto
So this happened. I have a 52 Ford tractor that I welded an engine hoist to the 3 point hitch. It works great for moving engines around. I'm using it to move the Darts 440 around so I can degrease and power wash it. Well I figured it's time for a little tune up. Guess what? 2 of the 4 old spark plugs broke all while it's sitting in the driveway with the 440 hanging off the back. Had to go and buy the correct size extractor and was able to get one out. The other one was just frozen. In order to get some leverage, the hood and fuel tank above the engine has to come out. I got it started with the 3 good cylinders and was able to place the 440 out of the way. Yesterday after work I pulled the (full) fuel tank off in the dark and the temps were dropping fast. Hey it's New England. I wanted to get it done before the oncoming rainstorm tomorrow. Tapped the extractor and got it to bite. It took an extra 3 foot pipe to get the stupid thing out. All is well. 4th plug is in. I'm waiting for the kids to come over for Thanksgiving to help me get the fuel tank back on. That was a little step backwards.
