I am actually an insurance adjuster. The best thing you can do is find comparable vehicles. And dont be afraid to negotiate. Just stay calm. You get cranky you will get nowhere. I literally do this all day every day. Also understand that retail at a dealership is not the same as ACV. Actual cash value. Everyone acts like insurance is always looking to be cheap when paying out. There is a legal obligation involved. People think i spend 1k a year for 10 years w the insurance company ive paid them 10k. Get in a wreck. The money is gone quickly especially if injuries happen.
