Stop in for a cup of coffee
Well off the beaten track I made potato pancakes for dinner.
First time and not bad with a pile of hot sauce.
My son told me he was in the mood for some ham last week because we haven't had some in a while... I bought a spiral cut ham at the store last Friday on sale for $0.99/lb...
I cooked it yesterday and have plenty of leftover....
I made grilled ham and cheese sandwiches for lunch today with some of the smoked cheddar cheese that I bought a couple weeks ago when I took a run for the border and hit up my favorite cheese outlet in Kenosha, WI (home of the cheese heads/America's Dairyland)...
Then chopped up some peppers... One green and one red... The red one is HUGE!!! On sale for $1... I got it at the store that I bought the ham at, check it out in the picture below...
Then mixed the chopped peppers with some onions and can make scrambled eggs tomorrow with the peppers, onions, and ham... Like a western omlette, but scrambled...
The store had a box of 60 eggs on sale for less than $6 sale ends tomorrow.... I told my son to go heavy on eating eggs since they are so affordable now... I may pick up another box tomorrow before the sale ends...
So eating cheap this week so far... $13 for the ham, $1 each for the peppers, $6 for 60 eggs, and $ for the cheese... Will get us through 3+ meals...
I may get another ham tomorrow before the sale ends, hopefully find another 12+ pounder...
