Driveline.works Any opinions on them?
I bought a Mopar eight and three-quarter rear end from this guy four years ago for my 300 hp, 350 ft/lb 318 in a 1969 Barracuda. 742 case and according to the paperwork, a clutch type limited slip unit with reconditioned 2.93 ring/pinion, Dutchman axles and green bearings. Four years and about 20,000 miles later I start hearing clicking going around corners, smell of a burned clutch when I parked my car in my garage and I don’t have a four-speed, and when spinning one wheel while the car is in the air in park the other wheel spins the opposite direction. Took it to AZ Differential Specialists in Phoenix Arizona on Grand Avenue. Upon inspection, they informed me that everything inside was destroyed and what I told them was a clutch type unit turned out to be a cone type unit. Haven’t seen the old parts yet. I’ll be picking the car up in the next day or two. Stay away from this guy.
