Can anyone identify my rear differential? 8 3/4 but wrong markings???

I checked out bazza"s reference in #21. Sure looks like a 49-56 Ford to me.
Which means neither a later 8" or 9" will bolt into the housing.
I still would replace it with an 8.8
Edit: WOW! was that a misstype! An 8 or 9 WILL NOT bolt into that housing!
2nd edit:I misread what I wrote, I was right the first time........ and an 8 or 9 still wont fit, lol.
