Being a cheap SOB, got a 2006 Ram truck steel oil pan and oil pickup from Rockauto, $85 for both. After some careful measurements cut the sump off, reversed it, and painstakingly welded it back on in the center. Pickup is about half inch above sump floor. Big PITA but it should clear everything, even the slant six K member. Got the truck dipstick and tube as well, it just clears the new sump, although I had to make new low and full marks on it, calibrated for full with 5 qts in the pan.
