Made me think about where so many deployments are these days and those nation's views on adult beverages. A brother Operating Engineer was telling me about some of his time with Bechtel Corp. In the early petroleum days in the middle east, Bechtel did lots of the grading, construction, pipelines involved in the growth of the oil industry there. He was on a pipeline crew. They were housed in container type structure on skids that was drug to the next site by a dozer :realcrazy:. They worked 6 twelves and then took 3 off. Adult beverages were not allowed. After the work week was done, they loaded up on a Bechtel airplane and flew to Cypress to let off the work week steam and consume those beverages that were so missed. :lol: I guess I was just spoiled being able to stop at the market for a tall boy on the way home after work :lol:
