Tuning

Ok, I'll take the bait. You don't need to write a book about this it's actually extremely simple. Sure there's advanced tuning for the racers. But for your basic street deal, it's not so complicated.

Step 1, if the engine is broken you have to fix it.

Step 2, once your hotrod parts are installed there's really only a couple things you can play with. Fuel and timing.

Step 3, get the distributor set up so it produces a performance advance curve. Get the timing set correctly. Google that part.

Step 4. Set up the carb so it's making a good afr ratio to your tastes. Google that part for your carb or EFI combo.

Go back and forth between step 3 and 4.

That's pretty much it. If it's slow you have the wrong parts. Orrrr....you started with a 318 :poke:
