They said it wouldn't work, you did it anyway. How did that work out for you?

Decades go, my father -in- law would tell me... that I could step in a chit hole and climb out smelling like a rose. I never asked IS i was smart, or stupid and just lucky!! But my motto was ..do something, even if it is wrong.
