You can skip all that, just reverse the U-clips and install the bolts from the bottom. As long as the bolts aren’t extra long it’s fine, and then you don’t have to remove the windshield to remove the dash frame. They’re under the windshield rubber, so you can’t see what direction they run with everything installed.
