We're going to Autozone tonight to buy a battery for my wife's 27,000 mile 2020 hyundai kona.

Ya just don't get 5 years out of a "5 year battery" anymore, do ya?

It's a somewhat oddly shaped AGM. Cost at dealer is over $400.

Autozone has one for $265.
I generally figure any warranty these days is a sham. Years ago Pep Boys had "lifetime" starter and alternators in the 80s and 90s , but they'd fail on the coldest day in winter. i got tired of laying under my K-5 Blazer in the winter wrenching starters off with numb fingers and bought a good one eventually
