Fortunately when I bought this car it had a 383 in it with the original exhaust manifolds. I sandblasted them, then painted them with POR-15 black paint. Then I painted them with Plasti-kote Hemi orange 500 degree paint. Found out later that the exhaust manifolds can get up to 1000 degrees. Lesson learned.
