Hello Again?
I've been a lurker on this forum for many years, It's time for something more. I bought a '69 Valiant 2-Dr sedan in Las Vegas last Friday and towed the remains back to the Detroit suburbs over the weekend. A long drive it was. To start, each wheel was held on by two lug nuts. Guess what my first purchase was today??? The front wheels are donuts from a Cavalier (They don't fit). The car was nursed onto a tow dolly and new tires were put on a pair of 14" steel wheels. this package kept my speed limit to 60 MPH while checking the lug nuts every time I stopped (anywhere). I drove thru the Colorado mountains to Vegas and drove the southern route back to Detroit.
While driving thru New Mexico, I was passed by Go Fish and his son. They were bringing HIS '69 Valiant home from a shop in CA. They forwarded me photos of the car being towed. I also took some of his. He wins the towing in style award :) . I hope we get to meet under a better social gathering.
I need to get a parts book for 1969. I do have one for 70-71. I'm planning on tis to just be a quick street car with either a 360 Magnum or a 5.7L Hemi. It's more of a case of which deal presents itself first.
Thanks guys!
