There’s a safety switch that was required to be installed to prevent that but Duke claimed DIYers weren’t installing them and they had no way to know. So they passed that law, but they didn’t and still don’t have a way to enforce it so it’s moot

Actually, no, surprisingly most of the sponsors of that bill got defeated. Not all but a majority did. That said, I’m sure they were replaced with hand picked pawns
