Front driveline on my Yota 4X4 went bad. Took it off and went to Toyota to get a new CV joint for it. "No. We don't do that here. That will be $350 for a new driveline." I knew the parts department manager there. I raced go karts with him. :wtf: is this Jim? "Go see Mike at his driveline shop. He'll fix ya up." "$75 and it will be ready first thing in the morning, and I'll do that other u-joint while I have it apart."
Yes, I checked with a couple of places. This is a double cardan shaft. Apparently there is a spring loaded pin in the double cardan and it is know to break when disassembling. It is 23 years old in WI salt. Everyone recommends just replacing versus trying to repair, then replace. Less $$$$ Now, just to figure out which of the 100 possible lengths it is
