No Valiant Love?
In 1971, responding to Ford's Falcon and Holden enlarging their body sizes, the VH came along. This body was to be the final shape for Valiants and ran through until 1982. The Hemi 6 was available now in three sizes, 215, 245 and 265.
Built on the 1968 US Dart floorpan, but with widened track front and rear. The spring shackles under the rear seat were in the original position but the chassis widened under the boot/trunk and they were about 3" further apart at the rear.
Upgrades followed, VJ, VK, CL and CM. There were 'Regal' 'VIP' and Pacer versions, and the extended chassis 'Chrysler by Chrysler' as well as utilities...
...and later a panel van. But, of course, the most famous of all was the Charger:
With every option available including Hemi 6 engines from the lowly 215 to the 265 triple-Weber (305hp) intended for racing. The chassis in this was shortened and it sold like hot cakes.
