The guy that got me started into Mopars 40 years ago was at a theater with his wife watching that movie. When they came out, his 440+6 4-speed Roadrunner was gone, never to be found again!
Sadly it happened a lot. I seem to recall a road test in Hot Rod (?) where a similar incident happened when the author left the car parked in his driveway or on the street overnight.
