Yep, yard is always full of 1"rs and Momma's laying eggs. It's a mile and a half through forest from a swamp to a small lake up the road and we're on the "migration" route ever year. Get the odd snapper outbreak as well... View attachment 1716248146
We have a wetland about 1/4 mile to the south of us, and a pond to the north of us, across the street, and like you we're right along the "migration route", it seems.
My wife works from home, and she sent me a picture of one that was about 8" diameter on Wednesday, but I deleted the text w/o saving the picture.
