I wouldnt either on a chevrolet trans , they were very very porous compaired to a chrysler hemi trans , understand ur concern even if it is an aftermarket , but 2 small holes stategically placed about the size of a 1 or 2 gal. water sprayer tip wouldnt weaken it that much...
