Why would you run an old gear on a new chain??

Most of these chains and gears are garbage anyway but running a used gear is like making yourself a **** sandwich so you don’t go hungry.

Get a different timing set.

Yeah I 100% agree with you unfortunately this timing chain set came with an engine rebuild kit off of eBay the Pistons and bearings and everything already installed so I'm not going to take all that apart to send everything back so I'm kind of screwed that way.
