Cost for labor on stroker build?

or if you're like me, the first 2K goes into buying a block, and then a crank and rods, then realizing that one or all of that is crap so then you buy better stuff, and you're half way to 6700 before you hit the machine shop and the heads you bought off johnny race gas needs exhaust seats and all the guides, so you might as well upgrade that **** too cuz they're bro'ing you out at the machine shop but it'll be like 3 months till you see any of your parts back.
He ran stock 400 block. I don't remember the exact details but he said something about the block having a higher nickel content I believe it was. I do know that it was a truck block that he had machined for 4 bolt splayed main caps, align bored, bored / honed 0.030" with torque plates, had 0.010" cut from the deck surface. Ran forged pistons, "H" beam rods, comp roller rocker arms, balanced, he selected parts, machine work, assembly in case he decided to use nitrous. But he never did. Transmission was a built turbo 350 and a ford 9" with 4.10 or 4.56 gears, I don't remember anymore on the gear ratio. I think that he ran a 4000 stall. Anyway, 406 sbc cranking out 650 flywheel horsepower for under 7k isn't bad
