Cost for labor on stroker build?

or if you're like me, the first 2K goes into buying a block, and then a crank and rods, then realizing that one or all of that is crap so then you buy better stuff, and you're half way to 6700 before you hit the machine shop and the heads you bought off johnny race gas needs exhaust seats and all the guides, so you might as well upgrade that **** too cuz they're bro'ing you out at the machine shop but it'll be like 3 months till you see any of your parts back.
He bought the cylinder heads new but I don't know if they were bare or not. I do know that he had a 3 angle valve job done along with a back cut on the valve's. He reworked the bowl area. But my luck would be like you said. Now he's building a 4.3 V/6 for his vega. Heads are stock, they are ported, milled 0.030", thinner head gaskets, he's running the biggest factory 4.3 cam, custom built headers, edelbrock intake with a fuel injection set up, hei distributor, od transmission and 3.73 gears. He's looking for 250 flywheel horsepower. It's strictly a fun car for cruises
