Carburetor CFM 360 5.9 Magnum Recommendation.
I agree that the cfm size is adequate, but that 1407, man they have a lot of issues even new and I don't think Edelbrock has ever addressed them. Running lean, surging and on and on. You can find page after page of problems with them on the internet. I have one myself and went through it multiple times to no avail. The last time I went through it though, I had a friend who needed one for diagnostic purposes and he said it ran great, although I still have not tried it. Maybe I got it fixed? Who knows? I'm liking the Quick Fuel Holley style carburetors now though. They come infinitely tuneable, unlike the older Holley carburetors. I have two. A 450VS on the Slant 6 in Vixen, my Valiant and a 650 DP on Gladys, my Ford truck and I am very happy with both.
