Is my ring gap too large?

If this was a super stocker, or engine master’s challenge engine, or something where you will be tuning for the last 1-2 hp naturally aspirated I would say it’s worth your time to close them up. But for an average every day street/strip type of engine you'll never see any benefit to it. FYI I run ring gaps larger than most are comfortable with, the magnum I’m putting together currently is at .030 top and .035 second, getting it ready for lots of boost. They run absolutely fine off of boost with no more blow by than one set up tight. Don’t stress over it.
