2970023 and 2070025 were used from 1960 thru 1965. They never superseded to a newer number.
2070596 has a long supersede history.

Are these numbers for ring and pinion set?

I have NOS 3.55 ring and pinion, but the set is for 60 and 61 (I think) and it uses smaller bolts in the ring gear than the later gear sets. At least I think that's right. I would love to use them in my 63 Valiant if they would fit. (It has 2.93 gears now.)
