Best Carter 4 Barrel Carburetor for a stock 273?

I never took you for a negative Nelly.
I've given stuff away, that members have thrown negative bs at me for doing it. I don't understand why someone would be pissed that I gave someone else something for free.
Have you been given stuff for free, yes, it's a rhetorical question.

In terms of appearance, The Statue of Liberty is more corroded by the years, definitely needs work,......does anyone give a **** about her appearance, no, she is our symbol of freedom.

In the case of the carb, yes, you can polish a turd.
Not trying to be negative just truthful. The OP is switching from a factory 2 barrel to a LD4B and a 4 barrel. He wants to stick with a Carter style carb as stated in post 26. It's good you are offering that carb for free and he can surely get it and rebuild it. I wish him luck and it's not one I would want to resurrect. Those carbs can be problematic with their vacuum secondary diaphragm, fuel transfer tube sealing, shrinking metering block gaskets and blown power valves. I have rebuilt a few dozen of them and I am really not a fan.
