360 stalls on deceleration from throttle blip

Hyup 30 is fine.
what ain't fine, IMHO, is the high idle.
There's only one engine combo I have had that ever needed more than 700/750 , which was the 292/108; and it turned out that the high idle was due to something else. After I fixed that, she would idle right down.
I only ran 700 or more, to be sure the oil supply was up.. As it turns out, with a high-volume pump, she is good to idle for hours at 600, and even less.
I don't have that cam anymore.
If you have an automatic, and it seems to be harsh on the N/P shift into gear, or, the rpm drops more than 100 rpm, chances are very good that your idle-power is still too high. You can slow it down by idle-speed until your tip-in hesitation returns, or simply reduce the timing, or get a higher-stall convertor. Of the three, obviously reducing the idle-advance is the cheapest, quickest, and easiest solution.
