IMHO, if that engine picks up with a dual plane, something else is wrong with it. All of the 4" engines I've been around didn't need any extra bottom end.
I didn't feel that it needed any more bottom end. It was more of a question as to whether there might be any benefits over the single plane intake I had on it at the time. The engine is good.
