Red Headed Stepchild-75 Swinger LSX Swap

I have been completely behind on updates as of late. Been busy working on the car, racing the car and packing up the house to get ready to move back to Virginia.

To catch up I'll start with the first ever Olympic Drag and Drive May 31st -June 2nd. Starting at Bremerton Raceway Friday the 31st. We got one TNT run before our 3 passes for that day. This was my first time ever going down the track there at Bremerton. I didn't expect much after hearing this and that about how the grip wasn't there until later after rubber was actually down. But after walking the track I felt confident in my first pass tuneup and settings for the car and right off the trailer the ended up being my best run of the weekend. Leaving on 4 psi at the line i was able to cut a 1.32 60 foot and run a 5.9 on only wastegate pressure of 7psi. Those who have followed know I have battled a cam/crank sensor issue for the better part of a year to year and a half since switching to the 408 with a 24x1x sensor combo.

Pass 2 and 3 didnt go as well seeing as the sensor sync error happened on both passes and only went a 6.15 and a 6.2. Decided not to beat on it any more seeing as I didn't have all the gear to troubleshoot with me. I opted to just enjoy the drive on Saturday and see if I can gain some knowledge in the meantime on a way forward. Camped out in my enclosed trailer that evening with a Shipmate of mine who flew in from Phoenix for the event.

We started the drive portion Saturday morning and got to checkpoint 1 at 9:30am. We drove around a portion of the Olympic peninsula, stopping at 5 checkpoints in total and ending up back at the track that evening around 5pm. During that time the weather started to get worse but we all wanted to finish the drive anyway. the rain started coming in and the forecast for Sunday was undoubtedly bad enough to call racing off for that day and end the event after the drive Saturday. Even on 1/4 of the power I wanted to run, i was still able to finish 8th in limited street, with a event best 1.30 60ft on my 3rd pass(no one has told me that got there quicker). Overall a well run and planned event by Lane and Jeremy and I wish i could have been around to run the next one they planned.

Overall the car never skipped a beat during the drive portion and the only issue all weekend of beating and driving was the sync error racing.
